What does your business do with the waste materials it produces? Have you even thought about it?
There are a surprising number of recycling options available – and many are listed by the business recycling website. This includes means of using those wastes to produce new products (the obvious recycling aspect) and ideas such as giving unused food to charity groups for direct reuse.
Personally, I believe in recycling as I hate seeing waste and hate perfectly good things filling up our tips. On top of that, there is the environmental aspect and a feel-good factor. However, for those who need a commercial justification for recycling business waste, here are a couple of points to consider:
Can you think of things to recycle? I’d love to hear of your ideas and successes – I may even copy some if applicable!
Everyone needs to do their bit when it comes to recycling and the office environment is no different – good to have some tips to get people involved in the work place.
Thanks for commenting Amanda, and I’m glad you appreciated the office-related tips. I agree – if each of us takes care to recycle and reduce our waste, together we can make a difference and have a nicer world to live in.
Recycling is of course very important these days since our environment is getting more and more polluted.
Personally, I believe in recycling is a good things to use waste with new way without spending much. I am also a recycler based on Braeside.
Absolutely!! Recycling is good for business and our environment too. I think the things you covered through the post are quiet impressive, good job and great efforts. I found it very interesting and enjoyed reading all of it…keep it up, lovely job..

The businessmen have to understand that the office clearance is a part of the waste management process which is very important especially today.
Well I prefer to think it of all business people, Courtney, not just ‘businessmen’ – we all need to contribute to reducing the amount of rubbish we pollute our planet with.
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘office clearance’ though – my point was that waste management should start with reducing and recycling rather than just ‘managing’ old items out the door to be someone else’s problem.
Thanks for your environmental concern. We need more of these to remind society about placing importance on food waste management, waste reduction and its waste implications.
Recycling is important for everyone, businesses and homes, but reducing is critical.
I completely agree Stewart – reducing and reusing are important steps to be followed by recycling. It is always good to hear from someone else who is working at reducing our waste issues and helping our environment.
