Issues with running a business blog…
Running a blog to support your business in some way can be a good marketing move although it doesn’t suit every business or every business owner/manager.
Like everything else in business, just because running a blog is a good idea doesn’t mean it is easy to do or doesn’t have issues for the people behind the business.
So what are your biggest hurdles with running a business blog?



Getting around to putting it onto the email list for distribution, as I don’t want to rely on it being an automated blog publisher email.

Time for blogging and the ROI. If you look at my blog you’ll see I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks. It’s always the first thing to drop off if/when life is busy.
Re the ROI – a lot of readers aren’t buyers. So you have to be careful that the time you put into blogging is actually worth it. There’s no point spending ten hours a week blogging if you need to put that time into actual income-producing activities.
Time is a big one for me, too, Melinda, and it is particularly hard if you can’t see that blogging has a good ROI. I think if there is little ROI on a blog then it is reasonable to have a lower frequency of posting that is suitable for some other blgos.
